Niguel Streete has held the position of Managing Director of the Turks and Caicos Islands Financial Services Commission since February 2016. He has held several other executive positions in financial regulation in the region, including Deputy Executive Director of the Grenada Authority for the Regulation of Financial Institutions, Executive Director of the Anguilla Financial Services Commission, and Director of Bank Supervision and Advisor in the Governor’s Office at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. Mr Streete also worked in commercial banking and auditing.
Mr Streete has over 25 years’ experience regulating banking, insurance, securities markets, and credit unions for prudential, and money laundering and terrorist financing risk. His experience also includes the resolution of distressed institutions and active involvement in financial sector development.
Mr Streete’s training includes industry specific regulatory training, a BSc in Accounting and an MSc (Hon) in International Economics, Banking and Finance. Mr Streete is a Chevening Scholarship Alumni.
