Public Statement 9th April 2013

Public Statement Re: Insurance Centre Agents Ltd – Revocation of License Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands, BWI – 9 th April 2013

The Turks and Caicos Islands Financial Services Commission (“The Commission”) considers it necessary to issue this public statement in order to protect the public interest, and the interests of any of the customers and creditors of the Insurance Centre Agents Limited (hereinafter referred to as ‘ICAL’), and further to make the general public aware that ICAL is no longer a licensee of the Commission. 

The details are: 

• ICAL was issued a license (License No. 4495/06) pursuant to the Insurance Ordinance on 18th October 2006.
• ICAL has made application to the Commission, pursuant to Section 34(1)(c) of the Financial Services Commission Ordinance, to have its license revoked.
• The Commission accepted ICAL’s application and subsequently revoked its Insurance license on 31 st March 2013. This Public Statement was issued pursuant to Section 39 of the Financial Services Commission Ordinance.
