Deangelo is a senior advisor to Private Equity and Infrastructure Funds, Corporate Buyers and Venture Capital Investors. He specialises in providing support and advise related to insurance and risk management implications that arise from Mergers & Acquisitions transactions, restructuring, refinancing and disposals. He has advised on over 300 deals covering all of the core industry sectors (Consumer, Financial & Business Services, Healthcare, Energy (including renewables), Real Estate, Software & Technology and Commercial Space sector).
Deangelo has advised on many transactions most notable would be the acquisition of Coty consumer assets at a contemplated enterprise value of $4.3billion, disposal of Petrobras oil and gas assets in Brazil to a PE Buyer, multiple debt refinancing of clinics and labs during COVID-19 pandemic and multiple acquisitions and disposals of renewable assets throughout UK, Continental Europe, USA and Asia supporting investors in decarbonising their portfolios.
Deangelo’s work experience includes two of the world’s largest insurance brokerages and professional services firms, one of the largest US commercial property and casualty insurers and one of the world’s largest Asset Managers with total assets under management of $3.5 trillion.
Deangelo has a BA(Hons) Economics Degree from the University of Essex, an Executive Certificate in Mergers and Acquisitions from Columbia University New York – Columbia Business School and is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of York. He is also a member of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, FSMA Belgium (approved person post-Brexit) as well as a Level 2 Powerboat Handler and member of the Royal Yachting Association.
